As a graduate of San Diego State Universities film program, Mike realized early on his passion and talent was behind the camera operating and lighting the scene. Shooting every possible film project in school helped Mike develop his role as Director of Photography. Mentored early on by David Stump, ASC and later by Peter McKernan, DGA, Aerial Film Pilot; both were kind enough to share their experiences, knowledge and introduce Mike to the film business.
Over the years, Mike's had the ability to work with some of the top Producers, Directors and Cinematographers in the TV and Film industry. Having worked with Film, HD, Infra-red, Vista Vision, IMAX and Aerial Gyro-stabalized camera systems, Mike's skills are rare and in high demand.
in 2008 Mike joined Helifilms as a Cineflex Operator and Director of Operations.
His specialties include: Aerial Cinematography, Time Lapse & High Speed filming
